Lisa is the Executive Assistant in Berlin supporting Simon Schmincke. She plays a vital role in ensuring that the hectic life between deals, board meetings, and supporting founders runs as smoothly as possible.
When I was younger, I was unsure of which profession to pursue. Debating between being a stewardess (was too small at the time), a vet (spending a lot of time at farms put me off), or a teacher (my dad was a teacher so that was uncool), I realized that my true passion was languages (especially French) and that I wanted to work in an international environment making a positive impact.
Lisa and Simon
Having started my career in large companies, supporting managers in their day-to-day business, I realised that what brings me most personal joy at work is enabling people to achieve better results through my support. When I joined Freshfields in my early twenties, I had no idea that the following two years would shape me professionally in the best way I could have wished for. My days were defined by a tough school where time pressure, zero tolerance for mistakes, and high-quality standards were just the basics. While I am grateful for every boundary I pushed - professionally and personally - in the years that followed at Boeing and Porsche, I found myself at some point with my hands tied. Being proactive can be impossible with tedious corporate structures.

When Simon offered me a job at Creandum, I was ready to jump into new waters. Even though I didn't know exactly what the job at a VC fund would look like, I knew it was the right thing to do - and I haven't been disappointed to this day. Fun fact: one of the things I love most about my job is recruiting and onboarding new people to our team, because I firmly believe that the culture we have is very unique and outstanding. Besides that I am still loyal to my Swabian roots as half of the Schupfnudeln sales in my Go-To-Supermarket are probably covered by me.
